Alliance Air

Here I thought that Alliance Air, a new brand, had the chance to redeem the terrible service that Air India has. Alas. Had two flights booked with Alliance. Both had the remark “Departure Subject to Weather” as the destination airport didn’t have IFR capabilities. Fair enough and that’s not the airline’s problem. One of those flights did get cancelled. You live and learn. The issue is the Mumbai ground staff who recite a stock standard response when you ask why a commercial flight needs weather clearance in a country with mostly temperate weather. “If your flight is cancelled you can collect your luggage here” no more no less was said.

If I could give a 0 I would. The absolute worst domestic airline. They kept changing the flight time back and forth- AND their online checkin isn’t working, so we reached the airport to find they had again changed the flight time but the checkin counter is not open. So we can’t even go into the airport. We are just sitting on the floor waiting, after RUNNING here because their phone agent said the flight was earlier. I spent the morning calling them trying to know the flight time, constantly checking in. They kept telling me the earlier time. Now we are here, losing time from the destination we are visiting and not able to even get something to eat. Absolutely terrible airline, will never fly again

Surprisingly - my experience at Alliance air was not as bad as other reviews showcase. Travelled from Jabalpur to Delhi in their 10:30 am flight. Check-in was smooth and fortunately, the boarding was before time as well. Flight started on time and landed in Delhi before time as well - Also, as other reviewers might have mentioned, we did not face much of turbulence as well. Seats were good and good enough leg space. However, the buck stops there! The bus was shabby and the AC wasn't working - Thank God we were evacuated pretty early. On boarding the flight, we were welcomed by the most disinterested crew! My mother asked the lady to provide water as soon as she boarded the flight, and promise me - we were not provided water during the entire flight. The flight is wasting its space by providing the 'crew support' button since they don't comprehend it. During the flight, my baby started crying owing to suffocating interiors and I had to rock him for some time. This lady, who was least bothered about providing even a glass of water during the entire flight now had both the time and inflated ego to come and shout to me! Ideally, I should have been seated but there's a way to talk to passengers. When I told that my child is crying and she just give me a minute, she rose her voice again and said these words 'Your baby is your problem, not mine'! Imagine what my mother and wife would have felt! Dear Alliance Air, I still have hope that you might improve upon you services and the first step would be to incentivize your crew and teach them some manners!
